SCB Art Works and LEssons
I have had the pleasure of working with SCB students in the past few years at the Elementary and High School Levels. I worked with SCB at Arcola Elementary and look forward to teaching them new skills and lessons this school year!

Trees of All Seasons
As seasons changed in 2012, SCB students learned of the differences of seasons through texture, colors, and story books. The first picture above is SCB's group creations at our end of the year art show. The fall, winter and spring trees were completed in different ways! The Fall Tree was done with torn paper to create actual and visual texture. The second winter tree was created using print making mostly and the last, Summer Tree was a GIANT INK BLOT in which students focused on first filling in the shapes, then folding on it and stepping on it to make it a symmetrical ink blot tree! We then added flowers using crumpled tissue paper.
The second picture above was a group artwork for our winter tree. After our tree was completed through print making and collage, the tree was hung and other students in the school interacted with their artwork! Students were asked how they think our tree would change in the spring?!
