Welcome Students, Parents, and Visitors!
This website is dedicated to the great artworks created by my Elementary School Students! Parents and students are welcomed to keep up with what we are working on through out the year as I will post the lessons we are working on and the final products of students as well!
I will post lessons I create through out my school year and the artworks students produce from them. We hope you enjoy! :)
My name is Ms. Olson and I have taught in Montgomery County Public Schools for two years. The older artworks posted are from my previous three years of teaching and student teaching at both Arcola Elementary and Harmony Hills Elementary. I look forward to this school year to move to two new schools! I will be at Strathmore Elementary and Burtonsville Elementary and am excited to work with my new students and create new lessons I will post to keep you updated through out the year!! I will continue to post new lessons I create for students through out my school year and the work the students produce from them!! These students put their thoughts, knowledge, creativity, emotions, and hard work into each and every artwork. It is always exciting to see what they've learned and how they've expressed themselves through their process within their final product!

4th Grade POP ART SELF PORTRAITS AND EVERY DAY OBJECT
Bubble Wrap Printing and Collage
4th Grade Students created these Pop Art Inspired Diptychs through a print making and collage process. Students were inspired by the subject of Andy Warhol's Artworks and the processes of Roy Lichtenstein's Ben-day Dot Printing. They created 4 prints from using BUBBLE WRAP to create the colors that they needed for backgrounds and skin tone. They then used collage, drawings and outlines to make self portraits and EVERYDAY objects that were important to them. Students also swapped scrap pieces to utilize extra printed paper! They all did a wonderful job! :)
